Industrial hemp is recognized as one of the most sustainable crops. But how far can its sustainability get?
The Green Model team worked on refining an environmental LCA of CBD hemp cultivation under field conditions. We constructed an online calculator of life-cycle inventory. We identified the sustainability gaps in traditional hemp farming practices and calculated life cycle impact categories to examine the environmental impact of our model. We conducted sensitivity analysis on different aspects of our model to further understand these sustainability gaps of our model. We designed and created a website for our work and online calculator.
